All day long, the Asia Fest main stage comes alive with more than forty live performances — a nonstop showcase of the dance, music and martial traditions that connect our communities.
A festival you can hear before you see it
The heartbeat of Asia Fest is its main stage. Across a single day, our community presents 40+ cultural performances — each one a window into a living tradition carried forward by neighbors, students, families and lifelong artists right here in North Carolina.
You'll find traditional and contemporary work side by side: graceful classical dance, thundering drums, the precision of martial arts, and modern sounds that reflect how Asian culture keeps evolving. It is loud, joyful, and proudly multigenerational — exactly the way heritage should be shared.
Dance
Lion and dragon dance, classical Indian, Chinese ribbon and fan dance, K-pop, Bollywood, folk and contemporary troupes.
Music
Taiko drumming, guzheng and erhu, traditional Vietnamese and Filipino ensembles, and live vocal performances.
Martial Arts
Kung fu, taekwondo, karate and wushu demonstrations from local schools and championship competitors.

Performers — we want you on this stage
Asia Fest is built by the community, for the community. Whether you lead a dance company, run a martial arts studio, play in an ensemble, or have a solo act you've been perfecting, the main stage is open to you.
We welcome performers of every age and experience level, representing cultures from across the Asian diaspora. Slots are limited and curated for a balanced, all-day program, so early applications are encouraged.
