Asian Focus Career Conference · April 18, 2026
Navigating Career Transitions in the AI Era
On April 18, 2026, a full day of keynotes, expert panels and interactive sessions explored how to adapt, grow and thrive as artificial intelligence reshapes the workforce — for students, early-career professionals and seasoned leaders alike. Here's a look back at the day.
About the conference
The 2026 Asian Focus Career Conference took on a timely theme: Navigating Career Transitions in the AI Era. As artificial intelligence transforms nearly every industry, the day was built around one question — how do we prepare, pivot and grow when the ground keeps shifting beneath us?
Through keynote talks, employer perspectives, an interactive AI session and a closing panel, attendees explored labor-market trends across the Triangle, what employers are really looking for, practical ways to put AI to work, and the human strengths — judgment, curiosity and relationships — that no algorithm can replace.
The conference was hosted by Asian Focus in partnership with the NC State Asian Students Association, and welcomed students, professionals and community members of every background and career stage.
